The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Specialist - Empower Personal Wealth is to monitor and provide feedback on the quality of phone interactions with participants by evaluating calls of representatives and advisors. This is to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, rules and regulations of the financial services industry.
What you will do
• Provide continuous call evaluation feedback to representatives and advisors through written evaluations and review with their managers.
• Document and escalate call monitoring issues to management as necessary.
• Evaluate representatives and advisors calls using the quality monitoring data management system to compile and track performance at an individual level.
• Extract and organize metrics to create month-end reporting and analysis on call monitoring results for internal quality reports, including the following: facilitate call calibration exercises to validate that calls are monitored consistently among the Quality Assurance Specialists. The Analyst will work with portfolio managers and other team members to seek out attractive risk-adjusted investment opportunities in Non-Agency CMBS and RMBS securities for a variety of investment strategies with a focus on capital preservation. The Analyst is expected to perform comprehensive credit analysis, evaluating both the collateral and the capital structure to identify risk and seek out specific investment opportunities. The Analyst will be responsible for conducting credit surveillance of existing positions, maintaining awareness of macroeconomic, market and industry developments and effectively communicating findings to portfolio managers and other team members.
What you will do:
• Conduct regular credit surveillance on all holdings which would include monitoring emerging credit and performance trends as well as designing and conducting various scenario analyses.
• Monitor and analyze fundamental and technical trends in CMBS and RMBS as well as broader Commercial Real Estate and Residential Mortgage markets.
• Analyze investment opportunities across primary and secondary markets, generate trade ideas and make specific trade recommendations.
• Develop and maintain a strong professional network which would include sell-side sales and research as well as other industry experts within your sectors.

The Analyst will work with portfolio managers and other team members to seek out attractive risk-adjusted investment opportunities in Non-Agency CMBS and RMBS securities for a variety of investment strategies with a focus on capital preservation. The Analyst is expected to perform comprehensive credit analysis, evaluating both the collateral and the capital structure to identify risk and seek out specific investment opportunities. The Analyst will be responsible for conducting credit surveillance of existing positions, maintaining awareness of macroeconomic, market and industry developments and effectively communicating findings to portfolio managers and other team members.

• Conduct regular credit surveillance on all holdings which would include monitoring emerging credit and performance trends as well as designing and conducting various scenario analyses.
• Monitor and analyze fundamental and technical trends in CMBS and RMBS as well as broader Commercial Real Estate and Residential Mortgage markets.
• Analyze investment opportunities across primary and secondary markets, generate trade ideas and make specific trade recommendations.
• Develop and maintain a strong professional network which would include sell-side sales and research as well as other industry experts within your sectors.
• Maintain strict compliance with all investment policies and company specific guidelines.
• Assist in the effort to continuously review and improve team processes.
• Develop and maintain loss models used to evaluate potential and existing investments.
• Review model results and reconcile with actuarial and accounting records.

Empower is seeking an Senior Counsel to join the Employee Benefits legal team which provides legal advice and guidance to Empower and its affiliated companies with respect to a broad range of complex legal matters relating to Empower's full-service recordkeeping and administration of corporate, not-for-profit and governmental defined contribution and defined benefit employee benefit plans across tax codes, including 401(a), 401(k), 403(b), 457 and 409A non-qualified plans.
What you will do
• Advise on recordkeeping, trust/custody and administrative support services and investment products offered to employee benefit plans and participants, including analysis of ERISA, tax and regulatory compliance issues.
• Advise on plan administration issues, including operational and fiduciary error correction under IRS and DOL voluntary compliance programs.
• Partner with Empower business groups and leaders to identify and address legal issues, including product development, sales, operations, client service, plan documents, call center, marketing and education teams.
• Support the negotiation of Empower contractual arrangements with plan sponsor clients and engage with plan sponsor counsel to resolve audit and complaint matters.
• Interact with IRS and DOL examiners and assist with the responses to regulatory inquiries.
The position requires the following skills and expertise:
• efficiently identify and analyze the legal aspects of a business problem and provide practical, actionable legal advice;
• engage and build relationships with business clients at all levels of seniority as a trusted legal advisor;

Empower is seeking an Senior Counsel to join the Employee Benefits legal team which provides legal advice and guidance to Empower and its affiliated companies with respect to a broad range of complex legal matters relating to Empower's full-service recordkeeping and administration of corporate, not-for-profit and governmental defined contribution and defined benefit employee benefit plans across tax codes, including 401(a), 401(k), 403(b), 457 and 409A non-qualified plans.
What you will do
• Advise on recordkeeping, trust/custody and administrative support services and investment products offered to employee benefit plans and participants, including analysis of ERISA, tax and regulatory compliance issues.
• Advise on plan administration issues, including operational and fiduciary error correction under IRS and DOL voluntary compliance programs.
• Partner with Empower business groups and leaders to identify and address legal issues, including product development, sales, operations, client service, plan documents, call center, marketing and education teams.
• Support the negotiation of Empower contractual arrangements with plan sponsor clients and engage with plan sponsor counsel to resolve audit and complaint matters.
• Interact with IRS and DOL examiners and assist with the responses to regulatory inquiries.
The position requires the following skills and expertise:
• efficiently identify and analyze the legal aspects of a business problem and provide practical, actionable legal advice;
• engage and build relationships with business clients at all levels of seniority as a trusted legal advisor;
• ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and efficiently verbally and in writing to non-lawyers and provide risk-based compliance approaches;
• ability to work as a team member, both within the Employee Benefits legal team and with other legal department colleagues, including mentoring and providing guidance to less experienced counsel; and
• ability to work independently to manage multiple, competing priorities and attain results by exercising appropriate judgment to manage matters through ambiguity and to completion
